Trends and Style in the Middle School

By Susannah G. Grade 7

Dress code, style, hair, shoes, newesttrends. These are all important things on the school campus.

It’s all about style and dress code in 2025 in the Middle School. Every one is talking, thinking, gossiping or complaining about it.

”It’s not easy… to find your style,” Iggy S.H., Grade 7, said. “It’s a type of art to find it and show it.”

Especially from 7th grade up until sometimes even graduation style is something you have to find and explore yourself. Style is important to many of us in many different ways.

Every one has a different way of styling their life and with that their outfit

Subdued, Brandy Melville, Adidas, Nike, Berschka…all the brands that create today’s style, are particularly popular right now in the Middle School.

”I think other is great,” Asahi H., Grade 7, said. “If you want to follow the trend you can do that, if you want to have your own style, you can also do that. It’s your decision.”

                                                                                          Be the person you like

But there are also many brands that are not as famos but people find they’re style in them. Your style is special. It’s your own expression and lifestyle. People can have the same interest in style but its your art. Your style can even influence people like your friends, family or just people on the street walking past you ,to see you in a friendly, calm, nice, dark, attractive way. Or they could also relate to your style and like the same as you do, but, for example , they don’t have the courage yet to show their art to the world, but you encourage them to show what they love. Some could be more shy than others and don’t like their style or may also be ashamed of it or don’t wear the things they like because of people putting them down just because they’re style is more unique than others. That’s why many schools have uniforms so every one wears the same thing. But does everyone have to wear the same thing?

”Every body sees style in a different way,” said Iggy S.H., Grade 7. “It does not make sense to we are the same thing like every one else because you probably do not like that style as much, but if you would explore other things and connect other clothes you can explore and trie out and find your peace of belonging in style.”

Style is/has been important to almost all of humanity in religion, school, celebrations, outside, on the street…To all of us style means something else, which is good because otherwise we would all look the same, which would be boring and no one would be as creative as we are now. But if insecurity was no there, every one could style how they want, wear what they want and be even more creative and more people would be even more special. How would you dress if there was no insecurity?

”I feel like my style can be creative sometimes, but most of the time I feel like I just wear what’s comfortable and trendy,” Asahi H. said..

So, comfortable and trendy for Asahi, easy but still pretty and looks interesting.

”I would dress a lot more colourful, goth mixed with girly kind of, but I would also make many of my clothes myself” Ivy W., Grade 7, said.

What is special about your style? Ever thought about that?

” Well, I am not that much different from others, so I guess it’s just that I just wear lots of colours and also different fits,l ike baggy and then some tight stuff,” Asahi H. said.

Every one has their own special style, look…Clothing is one thing that makes you, you. If you, for example, like pink, you would probably show that with your clothes, shoes or hair to make people notice you and your personalised features. Your style does not have to be popping out, or be colourful to see. Your style should be something you like, something you can express yourself in and show your personality.
