Best Five Places to Enjoy Springtime in Munich

By Amerie M., grade 9

Munich in spring is full of life, with blooming parks, lively festivals, and outdoor dining. The warmer weather invites exploration, whether through historic sites, cultural attractions, or scenic walks. It’s the perfect season to experience the city’s charm. The following list of places I can highly recommend to really enjoy spring in Munich.

1 . Hofgarten

The Hofgarten in Munich is a charming park in the city center, created in the 1600s. With its neat paths, fountains, and beautiful greenery, it’s a perfect spot to relax or take a stroll. Surrounded by history, the park is a peaceful escape from the city hustle, offering a quiet place to unwind and enjoy nature. I really can recommend visiting this park, especially during the springtime when all the flowers are in full bloom and the sun is shining.

The Englisher Garten in Munich is one of the largest urban parks in the world, offering a perfect mix of nature and fun. With wide open lawns, scenic walking paths, and peaceful streams, it’s an ideal spot for picnics, cycling, or just unwinding. You can even catch surfers riding the waves in the park’s river! A true green gem in the heart of the city. I love cooling of my feet in the Isar river on a hot spring day .
