The Beginning of a New Season

By Konrad R., Grade 10

Some students say their favourite part of school is learning, while others enjoy spending time with friends. However, many enjoy extracurricular activities, such as football at MIS, which are the true highlight of their school experience.

For many MIS students, football—to take one example among many—is the highlight of their school experience. As the new season approaches, players are excited but have mixed expectations. While some feel confident in the team’s talent, others are more cautious.

“We have good individual players, but we lack team chemistry,” Paul said.

Players also see room for improvement in coaching. Several, such as Paul and Leopold, suggest a “more tactical focus. ” A few players also advocate for better consideration of team dynamics.

Despite these concerns, the passion for the game remains strong. Football at MIS goes deeper than just winning—it’s about playing with friends and enjoying unique competitions.

Most players would recommend joining the team, especially for committed individuals.

“If you’re dedicated and play good, then yea,” Paul said.

Football at MIS offers an excellent opportunity to improve your skills as a player and connect with others.
