A Little Bit About This Year’s 9th Grade Student Council Representatives – Part 3

A group of students decided to interview the candidates for the student council (9th grade) after the results came back to find out more about them and what they will bring to our school this year.

Recently the student council has released their three new council members to represent the 9th grade. One of these new representatives is Michael K., better known as Mischa in the MIS community. Misha is a 14-year-old student that has been at MIS for his whole life. He is around 5 foot 10 and has brown eyes and short brown hair.

Misha first advertised himself with a video on top of a tall tower in Munich. The effort it must have took to reach the top of the tower to record his video demonstrates his attitude that he will implement into the student council.. This is an exceedingly important attribute for a student council member to have and will benefit the school as a whole.

Mischa´s specific goals to achieve throughout the year as a grade 9 representative include to ”change events and make them more organized more planned and more fun.” In this quote he was specifically referring to the house events last year, which he believed should have been more carefully planned to maximize the enjoyment of his peers. He also mentioned this in the speech where he advertised himself as a student council member.

He is very excited that he won and was looking forward to contributing to the school. He also wanted to make it into the student council to improve his CV and to lead/ influence the school.

He has an interesting view of the people he was running for student council with. He says that they are his enemies, but the ones that made it are his allies. He said he did want to run again next year.

“I am ambitious, I have goals, I want to make the school better,” Mischa stated.

If you are two-faced, don’t face Misha. Misha’s biggest pet peeve is when people change their personality for other people. You can see this within his personality, he never changes his character and is always true to his opinions.

In his free time, he loves a good doner kebab when he needs some comfort. In his childhood, he was called Mish and had a crush on Shego from the cartoon Kim Possible.

To wrap up this article, we will leave you with some parting words from Mischa; “ I believe that grade 9 will be in good hands under the leadership of me, David and Marcelo.”
